Lodge Estlian is the fraternal organization to CSA Fraternal Life, which had its beginnings in St. Louis over 150 years ago. CSA, formerly the Czechoslovak Society of America, was formed as a non profit organization to provide financial support and a network of friends to widows and orphans of Czech immigrants to the United States. Many of the men at that time took very dangerous jobs and the organization was there to help in times of tragedy.
As CSA, the organization is not solely focused on the Czech heritage but focuses on all heritages, attempting to keep alive the culture and grand traditions of many countries around the world. Lodge Estlian promotes many cultural events including its St. Patrick’s Day party, to be held March 5th, 2006, and will include Irish dancing by The Clarkson School of Irish Dance; and the CSA Heritage Festival, which is held in October and includes Czech and German music, food, and pastries.
